MONTRESSO ART FOUNDATION LAUREATES
JARDIN ROUGE RESIDENCY PROGRAM 2025, Marrakech.
As the following calendar programs unfold, Niccolò Masini has been selected as one of the 13 laureates of the Montresso★ Art Foundation, who will be welcomed to Marrakech in 2025. This year saw the receipt of over 500 projects from 70 different countries. Among some exceptional artists from all over the world, Niccolò Masini will be accompanied by the Jardin Rouge team to develop a new body of works scrutinizing known/unknown narratives in the perception of space and memory, paying particular attention to the role of sea monster imaginaries and iconographies depicted in early Western cartography of the Mediterranean.
Present in Morocco since 2009, the Montresso Art Foundation is a hybrid space committed to nurturing artistic creation and fostering the diverse domains of contemporary artistic research. Through its artist residency, exhibition spaces, and partnerships, the foundation guides artists on a multifaceted path where cultural encounters and interdisciplinary dialogue lead their gaze toward uncharted horizons.
By asserting an alternative dimension of the present, art enables individuals to self-identify, be moved and question. As artists explore their relationship with the world and unveil unprecedented perspectives, Montresso★ Art Foundation embraces its role as a PASSEUR D’ART.
